Peter has over three decades of experience advising businesses large and small, governments at all levels, not for profit and indigenous organisations about workplace relations and employment law issues. He also advises executives about their rights and entitlements. He is admitted in Victoria, South Australia and the Northern Territory.
He has advised employers about strategic use of workplace relations laws to achieve their objectives, business restructures, transfer of business and enterprise agreement making. He has also advised employers on a range of employment-related matters, including contracts, post-employment restraints, outsourcing of work, award and agreement coverage and interpretation, misconduct and performance management, termination of employment and General Protections issues, discrimination and litigation, including negotiated settlements.
He has conducted independent workplace investigations and is an experienced solicitor advocate who has appeared before state and federal industrial tribunals, courts and administrative and disciplinary tribunals . He is a trained mediator and regularly takes part in conciliations and mediations conducted by courts and tribunals on behalf of our clients in addition to conducting mediations and facilitated discussions.
